Educational Qualifications
Dr. Divya Giridhar completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from MOSC Medical College, Kerala, in 2013, followed by a Compulsory Rotational Internship there from January 2014 to January 2015. She pursued her M.S. in Ophthalmology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, under Dr. MGR Medical University, graduating in March 2020. She then trained as a Fellow in Cornea and Refractive Services at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai (January 2022 – December 2023) and completed a Short-Term Phaco Training at M.N. Eye Hospital, Chennai, in May 2024.
Specialisation
She specializes in managing various Cornea Disorders, including Corneal Infections, Dry Eye, Ocular Surface Disorders, Allergic Eye Disease, and Cataract Surgery. She is also skilled in Corneal Transplantation.
Work Experience
Dr. Divya Giridhar gained extensive experience through her 24-month Cornea Fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She also served as a Senior Resident at Giridhar Eye Institute in Cochin from November 2020 to December 2021 and worked as a PG Registrar at Schell Eye Hospital, CMC Vellore, during her postgraduate training (April 2017 – March 2020).

Dr. Giridhar has actively presented her work at various National and State Conferences, including KSOS, TNOA, and AIOS. Notably, she presented a paper on Unmet Needs and Functional Status of Adults with Presbyopia at KSOS Dhristi 2021, a study on KPRO swap in MOOKP at the AIOS 2023, and an e-poster on Spectacle Use Patterns in Rural South India at the 67th Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Association Annual Conference, showcasing her dedication to advancing knowledge in her field.
