Dr. Namitha V G

Dr. Namitha V.G. is a distinguished ophthalmologist with extensive qualifications and experience. She completed her Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Giridhar Eye Institute (November 2021 – December 2023). She is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and holds a Diploma from the National Board in Ophthalmology, which she earned at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, Chennai (2015 – 2018). Dr. Namitha is also a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (2018) and holds an M.B.B.S. degree from Kerala University (2007 – 2012).

Dr. Namitha V.G. specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of simple and complex strabismus, childhood refractive errors, amblyopia, and visual rehabilitation for children with disabilities. She is also skilled in myopia control, pediatric cortical visual impairment, neuro-ophthalmology, and the management of adult amblyopia.

She has amassed valuable work experience in the field of ophthalmology. She served as a Fellow in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Giridhar Eye Hospital from 2021 to 2023. Previously, she worked as a Consultant at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and Research Center, Bangalore, from September 2018 to December 2019. During her training, she was a DNB Candidate at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and Research Center, Chennai, from 2015 to 2018. Earlier in her career, she also served as a Resident Medical Officer at Malabar Medical College, Calicut, Kerala, in 2014.
